The "Million Dollar Poem" - Helping Children

Devastated by COVID-19 Lockdowns

USA / Canada

January 1, 2025

For some kids in need Christmas is not ending on December 25th. One Canadian born poet with a vision, and a powerful gift, is taking hearts and minds across the nation by storm, creating a viral phenomenon with the potential to change the lives of thousands of children.

E. Laurence Bake, the immensely talented poet and fine art digital painter, donated a famous piece of his artistic works to forward non-profit efforts across North America. The result of that gift resulted in a new and innovative way of helping kids in need called,  "The Million Dollar Poem – CAMPAIGN," a groundbreaking initiative that aims to raise one million dollars to support children affected by the COVID-19 lockdowns.

The cornerstone of the campaign is Mr. Bake's uplifting poem titled "Imagine." Called a "Painted Poem," it is both poem and painting, combined as one by the artist. Filled with hope and optimism, the poem is touching people's hearts wherever it goes. More importantly, it is providing an exceptional way for anyone to contribute to the vitally urgent problems of youth isolation, and skyrocketing suicide rates.

The power of the campaign is in its simplicity. One makes a small donation, and in return they receiving a stunning copy of the Special 2025 Edition of "IMAGINE." The simple but impactful $9 donation allows individuals, companies, and organizations to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

The campaign is designed to benefit the highly effective 120-year-old Big Brother Big Sister organization, helping them expand their reach and support of the many thousands of children currently in need.

"The more successful the campaign becomes, the more children Big Brothers Big Sisters can serve," says campaign administrator, Helen A Smith, retired President of the veteran oriented, "Blue Star Mothers Of America."

"This simple, beautiful poem, 'Imagine' seems to possess an almost magical quality, captivating hearts and inspiring people to help those in need." Mrs. Smith goes on to say. "This campaign offers a unique opportunity for anyone who wants to help – to own a beautiful piece of art, share it with loved ones, and simultaneously contribute to a brighter future for countless children."

"The Million Dollar Poem" campaign is redefining the way we think about fundraising and charitable giving. It's a testament to the power of art to inspire positive change, allowing everyone to become a part of a movement towards a better world.
